My name is Michael. I was born in Ottawa in 1976, I am married and have 2 daughters. I discovered my passion for martial arts and combat sports when I was 11 years old. I started Wing Chun Kung Fu training and switched to kickboxing when I was 13. This martial art did not let me go.

My enthusiasm for competitive sports was quickly born. In the disciplines of pointfighting and lightcontact, I was able to win first and second places at championships, Canadian championships and other tournaments.

At the age of 22 I had to make a decision: Continue competing or further my professional career? Professionally, this meant travelling far and working long hours in the evenings. To compete at a high level, there has to be continuous and adapted training. So I stopped participating in competitions. However, I did not let myself be deprived of training. I continued to train, even if it meant training in other schools and cities.
